Nottingham Retreat is situated 32km from Beitbridge on the banks of the Mushiloshokwe Dam – 7km of pristine water with Bass and Bream fishing. The dam boasts a myriad of bird life, Crocodiles and Hippos, rocky outcrops, magnificent sunsets, and is surrounded by Mopani, Baobab and a variety of other indigenous trees.
Under and umbrella of trees, and with lush green lawns, there are 7 air-conditioned chalets with air-con overlooking the dam. From your own patio, you are able to enjoy watching the many bird species and wildlife on the waters edge. Each chalet has a king bed and two three quarters, bar fridge, tea and coffee facilities and ensuite bathroom with bath and shower.
We have a boat launching site and a jetty where you can moor your boat whilst staying at the camp. If you aren’t able to bring a boat, you can hire one.
The lodge has its own pool situated near the dining and bar area.
Activities available are sunset cruises, game drives, bush walks, tours of the historic bushman caves, grain bins, cave paintings and a Sentinel Ranch Fossil visit. And not to forget the incredible ‘Fly Camp’, where during feeding season, you will get the opportunity to view up to 300 elephant and numerous other wildlife feasting on oranges deemed unfit for human consumption, or market. During feeding season, you can do a Pack Shed Tour (orange factory).
